Where to get my Alum Driveshaft Modified?

517 Views 13 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  jag61180
I am in the middle of a Ford Motorsport T-56 swap in my fox and was wondering the best place to get a 31 spline yoke put on and my driveshaft shortened? I can go that route or just buy an 03 Cobra driveshaft and change the flange.

Thx in advance

The 31 spline yoke isn't too tough to find but having it shortend might be a little difficult. Try to find a driveshaft shop that works with aluminum shafts frequently.
Driveshaft King on I30 in Dallas is a good place.

I have used these guys before, they are really good and fast.
Who do you guys think is better?
Inland Truck Parts or Driveshaft King

I had another guy recommend them to me. I am definitely just going to shorten my alum driveshaft and get the 31 spline yoke because the 03 cobra has a 27 spline yoke not 31 like I was told.

Inland truck parts does a great job, they fixed our driveshaft within hours of us dropping it off, and they did a great job.
+2 on inland. They shortened my driveshaft in about 45 min. I had just about got home when they called and said it was ready. lol Very professional people.

inland truck had my custom shaft done in 2 hours at about half the price of drive-shaft king. i had a drive shaft made at ds king several years back, and it took over a week.
I am going to inland tuesday.... Thx

Anyone know if they are open tomorrow? I doubt it cause its Labor Day
Are you guys talking about Inland in Denton? The last time I talked to them they did not do Aluminum only steel? If not Denton where is another Inland?
I got my alum driveshaft done today at inland. The one I went to was in Irving off of Grauwyler rd and loop 12. Great work, I dropped it off at 10am and it was done just after lunch.

Thx
how much did you have to have it shortened??? I am doing the same swap...
Its needs to be 44 inches center to center. I also had to have a 31 spline yoke installed for the particular T-56 I have. Some have 30, some 31, and some 27... all depends. It cost me $158 for everything out the door and high speed balanced.
