get a real walbro for $80-100 and have peace-of-mind about it. a real walbro will have metal gears when you look into the screen on the bottom.
x2I don't even know why anyone would install less than a 255 lph pump when replacing the pump. There is no down side to installing it.
I read on a street car it can heat the fuel from over serculation and cause issues . We had one in a 95 gt and had some strange problems after you drove in traffic for a while . We swapped in a 190 and the problems went away . It is possible the old pump was going out but It was fairly new . If the car had a power adder than I could see needing the bigger pump .I don't even know why anyone would install less than a 255 lph pump when replacing the pump.
