someone please clarify something for me. an engine, in this case a Coast High 393cid, that has been INTERNALLY balanced requires what imbalance flywheel? I'm assuming ZERO balance.

yup, go to TCI's website. They have what you need.
And dont forget the nuetral (0) balancer to go with it all.
