There's a lot more to do in Vegas than just casinos. My parents live there and say there's something new constantly going on. Entertainment on many levels. Gambling is just the main thing. There's so many places you can look at online to find all the events, shows, etc.

Take your wife to the Bunny Ranch just outside of Vegas.;)

I took my wife to Vegas last year for her birthday. Denny's right. There's plenty more to do than just gambling. The shows are great, but can be a little expensive. We spent a lot of time just walking around and watching others. Seeing the inside/decor of all the different hotels was neat, too.

LOL @ the Bunny Ranch reference! :)

My Vote is for Vegas!!!!
As everyone has said gambling is only a small part of Vegas.
We spend alot of the time just walking from Hotel to Hotel looking at them all.
Got married there....
My back (not finished)

!

Vegas is a great place, and you can get good air/hotel rates if you shop around. Everytime I've been, I've never felt like I had enough time to do everything I wanted. You could also go to San Francisco ... that's a cool place. Maybe VanCouver? Yeah, it's Canada, but close enough to the states. ;) Just go somewhere you haven't been! Depends on what you like/want to do on what I'd suggest. Maybe a private cabin in the woods just to get away from it all ... or a bustling city full of entertainment. All depends on you.

Will be ready for the Reno Show in March!!!
Get it done in austin, some of the best in the world will be at the show. I think I am going to have Dino Cook do some work for me:D

To answer your question, no, so you may not want my advice. :) BUT, I have been interested in taking one lately, so I've done alot of research. If you've never had a cruise before, the ships out of Galveston might be alright for you. The ships that come into Galveston are the older, smaller ships basically, and are just not as nice (and flat out run down in some cases I've read). That's why they are cheaper. Most people would recommend just spend the extra $200-400 per person and fly to Florida if you want a Caribbean Cruise. If your friend is a travel agent surely they wouldn't steer you wrong though and might know the best ship to take outa Galveston. Beats me since I haven't done it, but that's what I've read at least. :)
