Turbo 'Vert finally coming together!

Thought I'd make a dedicated thread since there's been so much discussion on trying to help me figure this thing out. I found that I had some plugwires that had got burned and were arching out. I put some new ones on and things really started to come around. Best times at the Summer cruise were:

1.7281 60'
4.8532 330'
7.4320 1/8th ET
95.66 1/8th MPH

Overall, I'm pretty happy that it's starting to come around. Another thing to note is that I'm still not using the 2-step. I tried it on one pass, and it got the boost up to about 2#'s, but for some reason the 60' was actually just a little worse than it was when I didn't use it. I'm not sure if the converter is holding it back just a bit or what. I'll keep tinkering with it, and think it still has some room for improvement. The calculators show that would be around an [email protected] 120.5mph so that's pretty darn decent! Also, all runs were on 17" MT Street Radials.

Nice ride. glad it's all coming together for you.
that is a beautiful car
Oh, it's actually about a 20-footer! LOL! Just glad it's running better!
Now the question is whether I'm gonna run outta gear in the quarter. It's got 3.55's now, but I'm running a short tire and I'm guessing they'll be some converter slip, so it may be close.
Glad to see it finally put it together. It was painful to read your troubleshooting threads!
That's pretty sick dude! How stock is that engine because with that mph at your weight you must be making some real nice power.
Stock heads and cam with a cobra intake.

Wow. Thats what I have. Looks like I need to trade in this nitrous kit lol.
I've got some Edelbrock Performers sittin' in the garage, but now I'm kinda intrigued to see what I can make these stockers do! BTW, my car's a pig @ 3550 with me in it!

lol Mine is a little under 3k with me in it. Pretty crazy what a turbo will do to these boat anchor stock 302s.
yeah, just makes me wish I put it all in a light ass coupe and ran a transbrake! I've actually even considered finding one to swap it all over into!
looks slow
That's one thing that I HAVE learned with age... fast is a relative term! LOL!

Does that make it a SLEEPER? If so, I know Forrest HAS to approve! :)

What kit do you have? About how much can you find one for?
B&G... I bought mine new for $2700 I think... if I had to do it all over again, I'd probably buy the hotside from B&G then piece the rest together...

Sweet. When I graduate in the summer of next year I will be getting some turbo upgrades and retiring this 150 dollar nitrous kit. lol Head gaskets still holding up?
So far... I figure if I have any more trouble I can do the headswap at the same time! I think retorquing them after a heat cycle made the difference.
