My AODE is dying in my 95GT. (20K on a year old rebuild)
Not sure what the issues are until it is pulled apart. Out of there 90 day warranty but willing to work with me if I pull it:mad:

Considering my options- please post opinions
(Daily driver with a 90 mile commute daily in traffic)
1. Rebuild current AODE
2. T5 Swap
3. Newer auto from junk yard to get me by for awhile (will anything 96 and later bolt in ???)
4. Lentech Street Terminator AODE

rebuild it with the right parts . people don't relize with the right parts you can almost bullit proof one of those

getting the parts and installing them for a stick is a hand full.
then when you get to much hp you twist input shafts even hardened ones .
with the technology today an automatic built right will out shift a stick

Does anyone know if option 3 will work? (Taking a late model 96-99 4R70W and bolting up to my 5.0)

ok 95 drgt
the 4r70w will bolt right up but you will have to change the tailshaft yoke . the aode is bigger than the 4r70w.
best thing to do if you have a 4r70w and a aode is combine them for the maximum strenght . you accomplish this buy taking the gears out of the 4r70w and put them in the aode .then you don't have to change yoke . and the new gears will give you a better launch and 2nd gear .
