"I am a marine corps vet" what the fuck does that have to do with health care?

As much as these town hall meetings have to do with it. They are a political stunt to calm the masses, good for us it backfired in their faces.

He later tied it into the oath that he had to take, and that the politican had to take.

Who gives a fuck if it has anything to do with it or not, I think he has earned the right to speak about whatever he wants.
So the guy makes essentially no point. Typical jarhead.

I think the point he made was that people need to grow a damn back bone and speak up, stop letting all these pencil necks run this country in the damn ground.

Did you watch the video?

He said that they were ALLOWING us to keep our health insurance. He said that they had no right to even be in a position to even argue about what he can and can't do with health insurance. He took an oath to defend the constitution and our rights and they are not living up to their oath. Seems clear as day to me.
He made the point that the politicians in power today are trying to pull the same stunts as the nazis did in Germany in in the late 1930's. Why should the government be the one to allow us to keep health care or buy gas guzzlers. It is none of their damn business if I can afford what I have. These 35 mpg average cars that the manufactures are being forced to produce aren't going to sell unless the price of gas goes way back up so who still goes out of business unless they raise taxes on driving.
I don't have a bit of trouble understanding it. The audience seems to have a reasonable grasp on the topic. Though he won't admit it, Congressman Baird understands it too.
I got every word of it....damned good for him speaking up! The problem is how many people don't get it, though.

And I earned the right to wonder why he opened with that, does being a Marine make your points more valid, it just sounded cheap to me, I watched the video. I for one am tired of the inflammatory BS going on at the town halls and would like someone in this sub par administration to lay it out clear and concise. A Marine standing up and saying fuck off doesn't help anymore than some old lady crying "I want my country back" at a town hall about health care.

Yes, it does. It helps the crooked politicians realize that we don't want this healthcare plan, and that them shoving it down our throats will be the final nail in the coffin of their political careers.

Let me guess.... You voted for Obama, and you're pro-Obamacare?

Are you kidding me, for myself I could give a shit less about healthcare, I get the same care the piece of shit members of congress do for the same price FREE. I want to hear about healthcare reform in regards to costs, my concern is my father who is 55 years old paying $130.00 a WEEK in the worst state in the union (NY) for coverage for himself and my mother, it's ridiculous. I don't want any free loading half assed Americans getting free healthcare, I would like to see reduced costs that is all. So thanks for your assumptions.
130 for TWO seasoned citizens is rediculous?

I won't lie, a veteran's opinion means more then a normal person's opinion to me any day.

Now, when a veteran has an opinion that a veteran's opinion means less. That's too confusing for me all day long.

I was beginning to wonder if you had developed calluses from obsamas nuts resting on your chin. Move your parents out of the state. Problem solved.

As for the points he made, they are salient. The gov't is out of control and hell bent on ripping as many freedoms/rights from us that they can, which is what we need to stop. Hence the "not your right" statement.

And your GD right a Marine saying he's a Marine as a prelude to his statement gives him more credibility. Compare him to one of these sack of shit scumbags sucking up my tax money while blowing it on crack and 40s... But then again, there is no comparison as this man risked his life for all that we hold dear, which puts him head and shoulders above ALL those who have not done so. Period. No arguement to be had other than whether or not you're a blithering idiot for saying otherwise.

Just because the location says Ft Leavenworth doesn't make him a veteran. For all we know he sells trinkets outside the front gate.

Then again, never forget that this is the internet. He could be living in a double wide outside Balch Springs for all we know...
Hell yeah! Its the truth. This country is not about the land & the free, Its all about making everyone equal. You work hard & you play hard.
