We just finished a T5 conversion tonight. I was excited to drive it for the first time. However, with the car started it will not go into gear any gear. It makes a grinding noise. We made some adjustments to the clutch but it made no difference. Any suggestions? Is it possible we didn't correctly install it.

I bought it from someone on the board who said it was a working T5. So, I took his word for it. Looks like I got screwed.

It only grinds in reverse but won't even go into that gear. The other 5 gears don't even get close to going in. You can hear a faint winding sound when you put pressure on the shifter with the clutch pushed in.

Clutch, PP and flywheel are new. Cable is in good shape. Any suggestions other than sending it to Slims to get it looked at?
