Switching from iTouch to iPhone

Might pick up an iPhone this weekend and was wondering what happens with the software that I have on my iTouch that I paid for. Obviously I'm not concerned about the free stuff but unlike my Windows Mobile phone where I have the actual file and registration stuff, how do I go about getting the software I've paid for onto an iPhone?

You can sync it through iTunes. Otherwise, redownload it on the new phone. Anything purchased through iTunes will be recognized and can be redownloaded for free.

yep you use the same copy of itunes you got now and it will put the software on the phone. You wont have to pay for it again.
your iTouch/iPhone apps are tied to your itunes account. you can install them on multiple devices.

My wife and I use the same itunes login and we just have to pay for an app once and we can put it on both of our iphones.

Actually I'll be keeping both phones. I'm way overdue on an upgrade and I just don't see a Windows Mobile phone that I want to "hold out for" that my current phone can't be modded to do. The iPhone will be my "fun" phone that I play with when I go out as well as be my backup phone if something happens to my WinMo phone. Unless you can convince me of an AT&T HTC phone that's coming out soon that I should wait on.

Thanks everybody for the heads up on getting apps to the iPhone if I go that route.
HTC is supposed to be releasing the tilt/touch 2 pretty soon.
Tp2.
Doesn't look like the TP2 is going to have the 3.5mm plug :( Not to crazy about WM 6.5 either so I'll probably hold off getting another WM phone until 7 comes out and continue using my Tilt.

About time. Still saddled with WM 6.1/6.5 though :( Thanks for the heads up.
BTW, got the following information off of Gizmodo including the updated Sprint pricing today.

T-Mobile - $349 with a 2-year contract, after instant rebate.
Sprint - $350 with a 2-year contract, after a $100 mail in rebate.

Pretty fucking expensive IMO. Any word on AT&T pricing?
