Careful on that speculation Kenny. I don't have the exact wording of that quote, but it can be interpreted a couple different ways. Basically what he said was that Mustang is the most affordable 300hp rwd car and can be had for under $20K. Though it seems he's talking about the same car, dependng on how you look at it, he is talking about Mustang, not Mustang GT. but I've followed this argument for the last month, and it just seems to me that the evidence points toward a slip of the toungue and what is there to leave off of the GT to make it cheaper? Ford doesn't even offer manual windows and locks any more, and the only money saving exterior thing I see would be blacking out the rocker (like the V6) and leaving off the fog lights and wing. How does that make it thousands of $ cheaper?
I see your point. But I've listened to it a few times and he makes it a point to say "both for under $20K". Beats me how they would do it, or if they could... but it sure would be nice to see. There is also supposed to be another "variant" displayed at the Chicago Auto Show ( February 4th ), maybe that will be the LX? I wouldn't mind a new mustang for a driver, I would pimp it, as long as it didn't have the wing on it...
