So they just sent you a reciept to sign, with nothing else??? And then they are sending the letter tomorrow????
doesnt make any sense..
So they just sent you a reciept to sign, with nothing else??? And then they are sending the letter tomorrow????or rather, got the receipt that has to be signed, I will get the actual letter tomorrow.
Anyone ever gotten one of these? I've been racking my brains and I can't come up with a single reason for them to be sending such a letter...... Hell, i've been in san diego for the most part lately.... not in my hood getting into trouble...... :damnit:
It's still listed as stolen. If the trailer is ever recovered, the insurance company will get notified, not Mike.they find your trailer?
When they send certified mail receipt requested they send out a receipt, you sign it, and the postal carrier picks up the receipt and drops off the letter. A copy of the signed receipt goes back to the sender. Sorry, I should have been more clear.90dfw said:So they just sent you a reciept to sign, with nothing else??? I always send in that form notifying them of the sale, so hopefully none of that.jfurst said:how bout to notify that a prior owned vehicle had been impounded? Car was never transferred to new owner?
I think they use a process server for that LOL....ssman said:Divorce? j/k
I did report the V1 as stolen to valentine 1, so if they found it and called valentine 1 they would have told them who it was registered to, and that it was stolen. I never bothered with a police report on it since I wasn't about to file it on my insurance.bcoop said:Could this possibly have anything to do with the punks messing shit up in the neighborhood? I know it's been a while, but it's just a thought...
What GE said.they find your trailer?
Oh ok, now i understand...it was one of those little orange forms the mailman leaves in your mailbox...When they send certified mail receipt requested they send out a receipt, you sign it, and the postal carrier picks up the receipt and drops off the letter. A copy of the signed receipt goes back to the sender. Sorry, I should have been more clear.
well what was it?
Those generally don't come certified mail. I've received them before, and it's just plain old standard mail.my money is on a red light camera ticket.
oh, didnt know that. Those generally don't come certified mail. I've received them before, and it's just plain old standard mail.
They were just making sure he would be home today.Well what was it?
To add to it, they come from the municipality. Not the police dept. At least, not in my experience. Due to the technicalities behind it, the police don't enforce them, or collect on them. From what I've read, this is because the ticket must be signed by an officer that was present at the time of the offense. Obviously that's never the case with a red light camera. Could be wrong, that's just what I've read/heard.oh, didnt know that.
^^I was thinking the same thing. They were just making sure he would be home today.
Wonder if he will be able to log on from Lewis Derrick
