I'm trying to change the settings on my router so that I can Direct Connect with people online/AIM I have the port on AIM set at 5190 and I changed it on the router settings too, but it still won't let me? Is that the right port setting for both or is there something else I need to do? Thanks

might want to try to setup dmz port forwarding will send all the packets your router gets first to a ip address. you will have to trun off dhcp for this to work correctly but not to hard to setup and should work just fine. btw what kinda of router do you have?

its a linksys -model-NR041 ok i tried what you said and now i have no one on my aim list to test it on. just my luck Do i need to restart my computer after doing this or not? thanks

lol you can always try smarterchild or smartchild some aim progeam that will talk to you lol kinda amuseing but no you should have to restart just set the dmz hosting and you should be good
