the trim around my quarter windows look like ass.. it's not smooth anymore.

i want to restore it without having to replace them new. can i sand them down and paint them? the reason i'm asking is because it seems like a hard rubber...

hey Jim.. this came from a post of yours

"Scuff the moulding with 400 grit wet, i used some bulldog as an adhesion promoter , then a tad in the paint as flex agent."

do I have to use an adhesive promoter or will the paint stick without it?

Quarter Window Restoration

Another restoration

I'm getting ready to do mine. Plan on using flexible filler to fill the pits, then sanding smooth. Flexible bumper/trim paint to complete.

Waiting on the weather to cool before I take it on. Trim paint I picked up at Wal Mart is a great match. I did my sunroof trim and cowl Friday and they turned out well.
