The seal is a one piece seal and it just taps in from the back side of the block. I've never used an installer for it.
Be sure to put some sealer around the outside edge of the seal (I use permatex non-hardening sealer) and lube the inside edge of the seal before installing it. Clean the oil out of the seal cavity with a rag soaked in solvent before tapping the seal in so the sealer will adhere.
This would also be a good time to replace the T/O and pilot bearings if you have a 5 speed.
yeah thanks, and that brings up another ?. When i am shifting at high RPMs i can fell the cluth spinning through the petal. It souds like the T/O bearing to me but... anyone else have this prob? does a king cobra have the same T/O bearing as a stock t-5?
