Has anyone on here ever changed a rear main seal on a 96 GT. I am wanting to do it myself and have access to a lift. I've never does this before and was wanting to know if it was that complicated to do.

Thanks,
Eric

Be sure to clean the cavity where the seal goes with some solvant on a rag to get rid of the oil and then use a sealer around the outside of the edge of the seal. I use permatex non hardening sealer.

Lube the inner rubber lip on the seal before installation.
