My wife has been doing research for a while and has decided she wants to become a real estate agent. She has a great personality and can get along with anyone and also has that "maken a sale" type of persnality trait as well. Her dad has built houses pretty much his entire life so she is not new to the buying/selling houses market. She currently is a hair stylist and wants to do something new and make more coin as well. I am in full support of her, as she was of me while in finished my engineering degree. She is excited about this and I believe her and her mother are going to get their liscense together.

My question is does anybody have any tips for entering this industry? Any types of programs you recommend doing or not doing to earn the 210 hrs needed before taking the Texas Liscense exam?

I offered up the tip of calling local real estate offices and asking if they need a secratary or something to get some first hand insight to the industry while taking the classes needed.

Congratulations to your wife on pursuing a new career path as a real estate agent! Here are a few tips for entering the industry:
  1. Choose a reputable real estate school: There are many real estate schools out there, so it's important to do your research and find one that is reputable and offers high-quality courses.
  2. Attend real estate events: Attend local real estate events, seminars, and conferences to network with other professionals in the industry and learn about new trends and techniques.
  3. Join a brokerage: Joining a brokerage can give your wife access to valuable resources and mentorship programs, as well as provide her with a steady stream of clients.
  4. Build a strong online presence: Having a strong online presence can help your wife attract clients and promote her services. Encourage her to create a professional website, establish a social media presence, and maintain a strong online reputation.
  5. Continue to educate herself: The real estate industry is constantly evolving, so it's important for your wife to stay up-to-date on the latest trends, laws, and techniques. Encourage her to attend continuing education courses and workshops to expand her knowledge and skills.
Best of luck to your wife as she embarks on this exciting new career path!
