quick question for sprint employees

199 Views 9 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  bmxerbrett
my centro has been acting up lately(more than the regular piece of crap it usually is), the entire middle row of letters won't work...and then they will again...and then they won't again... you get the point.

i have both types of insurance(repair & replacement) if i take it in and they can't fix it what happens then? do i have to pay the deductable to get another phone? i'm done with sprint as soon as my contract is up(about 8 more months :damnit1: ) so reupping for another phone is out of the question

thanks for any help

they will send in a refurb to that store if they don't have one there if they determine it is warranty related. If it has like damage like cracked screen etc, then thats when you do insurance.

BTW. you have one of the shitty phones evar. they pull that phone quickly

ah ok

yea this phone is just like a treo(freezing up, laggin betweens commands)...only smaller
I feel you man, I had the HTC Titan (the silver one with the slide-out keyboard with WinMo 6.1)

I went through four of those. Finally I got so mad one day at the touchscreen not responding I just slammed it down on the table and cracked the screen.

Call Sprint, threaten to leave (make sure you are in retentions)...they will plead with you not to...ask for a $50 credit on your account so that you can call Asurion and get the phone replaced for the $100 deductible

I got a BRAND NEW (not refurbed) HTC Touch Pro for $50....and I LOVE this phone.

Make sure before you go through with the claim that they indeed are sending something different, otherwise you will have wasted all that money.
You can set up an advanced exchange online, and the deductible will be bill to your cell phone bill.

fuck that, it's fucking bullshit that i pay insurance for 5 years and when i need it i have to pay a shit load of money for a deductable. the more expensive your phone is the more your deductable is

Its $80 dollars...
Its $80 dollars...
exactly. i've had insurance for 5 years and the phone might be $350. i've paid $420 in insurance over the years. yet i still have to pay $80 for a new phone

But you get the piece mind in knowing you have the insurance!
Insurance is a rip. I don't pay it. For my phone anyways...
