can someone please help me out here i have a 98 cobra rebuilt
the motor and running a 250 shot....is it better to go with auto or
stay 5speed?

Damn. I would be more worried about the fuel system and tune. If you go auto, you have less to worry about while racing. Although the tranny would have to be fairly well built to put up with that power and make good use of it (stall, shift kit, stronger bands, etc.) But, if you go standard you will be worrying about how long that tranny will hold anyway, that and spraying on a missed shift. Pick what you prefer and go from there.
