I've done it! I can't believe I lost 7 pound this week. 9/23
nice numbers, don't wanna post my exact weights but i'm down 80lbs in 5 months. hopefully pulling a muscle in my back a couple weeks ago doing deadlifts doesn't come back to haunt me.
10/14/2010 274.4

Down 60lbs in 5 months. WOOT!!

Ooops!! I started at 334 and now I'm at 274. Had to edit.
12/7/09 = 275
10/14/10 = 245

I slacked off a bit until the past month or so, but the 1st 25 lbs I managed to keep off all this time.

10/27/10 = 240. The lowest I've weighed in 10 years. My weight on my wedding day. I'm in my 4th week of running 3 miles every morning before breakfast.
11/04/2010 weighed in at 269.2

That brings me to 65lbs lost in 6 months!!

It'd be nice to see how everyone else is doing!

Damn, good job!!!

I am down 19 since late September. 244 is better than 263. I already see a difference in my clothes.

Dang! That's a wardrobe change. Congrats! I wish I had worked harder sooner. So what's been working for you?

Good job man! Keep it up!

Thanks brotha. Well I started with riding a bicycle. My brother in law gave me an old bike that he had. It worked perfectly. We began riding the mountain trails here in El Paso. I simply fell in love. I have since gone out and bought my own bike. It has been the funnest, by far, weight loss experience that I have ever had. And since I've lost so much weight I am starting to run on the treadmill at home. I am impressed with all that I can do now that the weight is coming off. It is so liberating.

And of course I am eating soooo much better than before. I basically eat a good breakfast, a mid morning snack, a good lunch, a mid afternoon snack, and then a light dinner. Although here lately my dinner has usually been like a bowl of cereal or something. The reason it's so light is because I also go to school. So, usually I don't start my workouts till after 8 pm.....then I can eat dinner. I know it's not good to eat that late but I can't help it and refuse to eat before a workout. It just weighs me down. And besides....it's working for me.

The bottom line is that I was sick and tired of being a huge motherfucker. It wasn't good for my health and well being. I was depressed and despised my look in the mirror. But all in all I want this! It's in my heart that I want this. Previously I would lose weight and gain it all back and more. It just wasn't in my heart then. I am going to lose it all this time and keep it off for good. Not having a wife/girlfriend helps a lot.

So....everyones different. What works for me may not work for others. I wish you and all that read this the best of luck in their journies. And if you EVER need advice or encouragement please feel free to holler at me. I may not give the BEST advice but I can definitley try!!

11/9/2010 weighed in @ 215 lbs / 13% body fat

thats up from 207 lbs @ 13% body fat all in about 5 months.

Thats 8 lbs of lean mass in just under 6 months. I'll likely hit about 10 lbs of lean mass gained right at x-mas.

Is that above or below average?? How much have 'yall gained in one year?? (mass)

I read that 10 lbs a year is max lean mass that can be gained but from 205-215 is going good, does it slow down around 220 or so? I'm also a bigger guy @ 6'3 and have a wide ass bone structure..

It'll slow as you reach your genetic limit. At that point you've gotta do all you can to add lean mass, and as soon as your calories drop so does your weight.
05/01/2009 148 pounds

11/10/2010 259
