on one side of the radio I have a solid black wire and a blue/red wire

all made together on the other side i have the following. Try to spell it out for me.

thanks,

black/white wire
orange/green wire
white/green wire
pink/blue wire
pink/green wire

That is all of the wires actually coming out of the radio itself

Man i think your missing one wire? Not for sure. Well actually maybe two. Have any been cut off really short or anything. where abouts in fort worth are you i can maybe stop by and take a look at it and put a meter on it.

the fairmonts have a large speaker in the center of the dash, IIRC, which would explain the 5 wires.
Your right. I forgot all about that. :D

The car had factory spots for 3.5's in the dash also.

I have two radios, one that came with the car and another.

They both have the same amount of wires....

I am sure it uses the chassis for a ground..

And I am in the basswood/beach area of N. Fort Worth..

if the car had two speakers, they would likely be common grounded, NOT chassis grounded.

I agree, I meant the radio. I am going to bring it to the cabana on Tues. Somebody can look at it there or better yet we can just stomp on it for "damn it steve"
