 LMR in Houston posted this thread about a customer that wants them to build the "Worlds Quickest and Fastest 2010 Camaro" for the LSX shootout (Oct 15-18)

Any plans to take the car there?

He would have to put a cage in the car... F THAT!

They are VERY strict at the shoot out. EVERY little thing needs to be up to date.

Bryan should still do well at that event!

OCII already said in another thread they're setting up a race with LMR.

yeah... hopefully it's up here.

What class is he gonna run in? Because if it's true street, Mighty Mouse DOMINATES that class (8.XX)

If it's radial... (7.XX)

So yeah...

Does that car have a cage? It would be pretty dumb to drive down there and get booted after the first pass. Again, they are very very very anal about safety stuff and making sure everything is certed (flex plates, license, belts, helmets, cage etc.)

I'm sure Sam will have it taken care of tho. :)

From the way he was talking it should be an easy win. He's already into the 10's without the cam, LMR has yet to break into the 10's with a cam.

I plan on the car being the first one into the 10's N/A. I think with the changes the car is getting in the next few weeks it shouldnt be a problem to show up there and run a few quick passes. I seriously doubt a cage will go into this car. Its just not worth it.
Wow.............that thing should run.

I've tossed the ideal of around of selling the Camaro and buying the "body in white" camaro. I can build a 2010 drag car for around 25k or a tad more. But then I couldnt drive it around town. I like my car too much, and no.......I'm not putting a cage in it.

doooo it.

A 2010 camaro on big and littles, a serious rear end and ready to chop heads would suprise the absolute HELL out of people.

They would just see the car from a glance and think its just a street car in track trim.
