New addition to Friday Nights @ NSD (and a dfwstangs special)

Beginning this Friday Night, NSD is making an edition to our Friday Night Rock n Race program. In addition to our 3 street classes, fun n grudge, live music, and arm drop racing (after 11pm), we are adding North Star Dragway's 25 Most Wanted Street Racers. Here are the basics of the program and rules:

1. All cars must have current registration, inspection and insurance and be in street legal trim.

2. If asked, cars must be ready for 20 mile cruise at any time on Friday night, but car may be trailered to track.

The basics:

On the first Friday of the month, NSD will run two qualifying passes to set the Top 25. At the remaining Friday Night Rock n Racin' events that month, you will have the opportunity to callout members of the Top 25 to position youself higher on the Most Wanted List. All particpants will need to register by sending an email to [email protected]. You will need to include your name, car information, and a picture of your car. Those racers not able to qualify on the first Friday of the month may challenge for any spot outside the Top 5, once they are registered.

You may only make one callout per Friday, and you can only refuse one callout per month (regardless of reason). If you are called out and agree to race, or have already refused one callout, and do not show up by 10:00pm on Friday, you forfeit your spot in the Top 25. All callouts must be made by 12:00pm on Thursday and must be posted at www.voy.com/221325/. After the final Friday race of that month, each driver on the Most Wanted list will receive entries in our grand prize drawing based on their position. #1 receives 25 entries, #2 receives 24 entries, etc. After the drawing, the Most Wanted will be reset for the next month.

Though nothing is official yet, it looks like one of the DFWStangs.net family will be the official sponsor for September (more details to follow Thursday).

Lastly, the discount. Any DFWStangs member that comes out to race Friday Night will receive a free pit pass and tech card for the Saturday Night Pro Mod race. If you would like to take advantage of this discount, all you need to do is come upstairs to the tower on Friday Night and give me your screen name and I'll get you a pass (1 per person).

I like it Nick - the only thing I'd change or consider changing.. The number of callouts for one car should be limited to something like 5 races in a night. The way it is now, there's potential for the top dog to be called out 24 times in one night.

Yeah, I agree. I might even think 2 or 3 would be good. I'll add that to the rules.
North Star Dragway is proud to announce that the September sponsor for The 25 most Wanted Street Racers is Nick's Custom Detailing. Our grand prize winner for the month will receive a full interior and exterior detail for their ride. In order to have the service completed, you must be within the DFW Metorplex area.

Thanks to Nick Chapman for stepping up and sponsoring the first month of this new program. I'm really happy to have him on board at North Star.
i want to win a detail for the car :(

All you have to do is show up. As long as you can make the Top 25, you've got a shot.
well if jake is racing I know i've atleast got the 24th spot locked!
i think this is a good idea what time will the qualifying passes be

As long as it's legal to drive on the street with what you have, then your fine.
Maybe I'll bring the purple turd out, hell I drive it all over anyway. Doubt low to mid 6's will win but it would be fun anyway.

You don't have to win the whole thing to win the prize though.
Not too worried about winning as just getting the car to run good and having a good time. Should be a few sleepers.
I can't make this one, as I have to go drag forteen3GT AGAIN, but this time at Kennedale.

I'll make the next one I believe.

This event is not a DFWStangs only event. It's open to anyone. I think you may be thinking about the classes during the official "DFWStangs Cruises". For that, I think Turbostang would be the person to ask.

If that is the case Nick - you need to be a member for 60 or 90 days minimum. It depends on what the sponsors vote on when the cruise is setup.
