dang. yeah i dont have to its our own network.
it just wont fully connected with the wireless card. i can hook it straight from the modem and it works fine.

When we say password, we mean hex key or word that allows you on to your wireless network but keeps the rest of the neighborhood off of your network. This password would not apply if you hook your machine straight into the modem. It is only for the wireless part of the network.

If you don't know if you are running WEP security or WPA security or no security at all, you might end up having to pay someone to sort it out for you.

If you can at least get into the web based admin interface of the router, someone here might be able help you figure it out.
What network is the Belkin card capable of connecting to? B? G? N (prolly not)

Is your wireless access point network set to broadcast N (or G) only? You need to verify they can speak the same language.

If they are compatible, you may try hard setting the IP address of the wireless adapter to an IP of your internal network and then try a connection.
