Are they interior stairs or external stairs that you're going to use?

Thats about what my Dad's was that I got him. Ive got a small one that is about 200lbs and I got it through my sunken living room and in my office using a regular dolly and 1 other person.

People with experience, need some help. Whats the best method for moving a 250 lb safe to my basement via stairs. The good news is, my basement is directly across from my garage entry so its an easy transition. Anyone have any tips or advice? Basically every place I order one from drops it off on your doorstep via freight, so theres no one to haul it in. Thanks.

My entired family is in the locksmithing business and ive dabbled in it before, when it comes to moving safes wed always put it on a dolly with one person in front for guiding and stability and one behind for force and direction.. as well as pulling against the dolly to keep from cracking your stairs on your way down.

We move 1000-2000 safes a year.Rent a dolly that you can strap it on and go down the stairs like you would a washer or dryer. Thats what we would do or might carry it if its long and skinny and not a cube shape.

I had a safe which was of similar weight. Myself and my brother tried to move it in so we can save money. When we realised that we couldn't do it on our own, we had to hire people fro a moving company so the safe stays safe.
