Game is going back and forth and the score is pretty close with 5 minutes left in the first half. Dirk is out and sitting in street clothes on the bench. Mavs need to pull off a win without Dirk and they might be able to do it with the way they are playing tonight. Getting some quality time out of Gooden, Thomas, and Marion.
Dirk had a microphone most of the second quarter while the TV asked him questions. It was pretty interesting to hear his in game comments about his fellow Mavs playing.
I'm so fucking mad!!!! Fucking NBA TV is supposed to be playing the game but something is fucked up and all I get is a black screen. Living in NY, I get to see very limited Mavs games in HD....Fucking screwed me. I'm having to listen to the radio broadcast
Awesome game....being down in section 108 about 15 rows from the floor, I could see how pissed LeDork was getting because he wasn't getting his "superstar" calls from the refs.
Tim Thomas freaking stepped up last night in Dirk's absence. I hated this guy while he was with Phoenix, but I'm learning to like him more and more. He very well could be the toughness and difference maker that this team needs. I bet last night's performance earned him more playing time. JET finally got his game back a little as well.
And LMAO when I heard Dirk had to miss a game for having someones teeth stuck in his elbow. I heard it on the radio and had to laugh. I haven't seen the highlights of that play, but I am assuming he was swinging his elbows after a rebound.
Great game. I can honestly say I didn't have much hope for them without Dirk. Maybe this will convince the team that if they HUSTLE they can compete even without Dirk. I'm sure you get a little spoiled have a badass like him on your team.
the cavs play down to thier opponent all the time. Not bashing the mavs, I love them too, one team from each conferecne... but without Dirk, CLE should have run them out of the building. Cleveland has BAD losses this year, Chicago, Washington, Charlotte, Memphis, Houston (I think they are the most overrated team in the nba)... great win for the mavs, but I think the cavs may have had too much ghost bar on saturday night.
Cleveland is still trying to get it's team together. Delonte with all his personal issues and then adding in Shaq who has a tendancy to slow down his own teams offense are definitely issues the Cavs are still trying to overcome.
