December 10th comment from MercuryMarauder.org web site:
Heads up, LMPD has made the following business decision:
Marauder program is cancelled for 2005.
The Marauder will run its cycle through the 2004
(no plan to reinstate feature in 2006).

Sincerely,
LMPD Project Management - 2005 EN/FN
I think it sucks, I thought the Marauder was kinda cool. I think the main thing that hurt it was the $35K sticker price, it put it in the same class with too many other better built, more luxorious sport sedans.

When the 94-96 Impala SS's were sold they stickered for $23K while most of the European and Japanese sport sedans then were still in the $30K range.

No more F-Bodies and no more cool V8 RWD sedans :(

I thought they were selling good

I have seen more Marauders on the street than new Cobras:(

maybe they will bring it back with fwd and a v-6 like chevy did
That's odd you say that, I have yet to see a Marauder on the street or at the track. I have looked at them up close on dealers lots but never seen one on the road.

I havent seen one either, they do look like decent cars, but not worth the cash imho.

That kind of sucks...

35K is too much though. These new car prices are out of control...
