On another note,
last night got to track on fire (reminder: dont drive during the day in the summer w/o AC!) and dehydrated from working my arse off at the house i got to the track a bit late. On the way I noticed a wheel lug coming off and pulled it with a cresent. (reminder: bring the appropriate tools vs relying or assuming to rely on others). After that was fixed i made a pass on the footbrake with the radials. Burnout was decent but the tires didnt smoke (reminder: don't drive on the bottle with tires you drove backwards for a day) for shit. Blew the tires off the line on the jug. I had 8 lbs (reminder: bring more cash for more bottle vs buying Gatorade and racegas) of nitrous in the car. Next was an attempt with the slicks. I "thought" I spun the tires but I deadhooked (reminder: dont be so chicken shit and waiting for someone else to go in the water first ---ya damn sissy---) according to everyone. I also forgot to purge again. After everyone making the assumption I wasnt able to cut it out I gave the keys to him with faith in BBC. (says something as I cant stand to let folks drive my car...... FACT! especially after the Hutto ordeal)
He ran a new best for the car. Kinda squirrely due to the low air in the tires. After that I made a pass on the T-brake which didnt work very well with the cars setup on the tune as much as the following pass I made (a personal best for me and .07 seconds slower with significantly less bottle pressure than BBC (and cooler weather I also must mention) (reminder: dont forget the fat driver excuse)
After serious help from some discount tire dudes, Adam, MellowYellow.... I went home somewhat content.
I know that the car is not fast enough. I know that I can drive it pretty good as the suspension is "dialed" in for the slicks and leaves much better than before.
And I also know that it is time to lean on it some more.
Maybe a warm full bottle and 3 degrees more timing to start? Should be good for 50rwhp or more.
