The worst part is that he basically is an advocate for a criminal's right to steal from you without you being able to retaliate. If you are a delivery driver working your route and three teenagers ask you for free product and you tell them no, that should be the end of it. When the criminals attack the delivery driver and he shoots them, it is all good IMO.
Some questions that might need to be discussed:
1. Why would the criminals think they deserved free product?
2. Why after being refused free product, would the criminals attack the driver?
3. After the VICTIM defends himself, why would people not at the scene second guess his actions and blame the VICTIM for the outcome?
