It is usually a good idea to install antivirus software before you get a virus! Having said that I would back up all of your critical files do a clean install of windows then put avg free from www.grisoft.com and run adaware personal addition on it religously and that should keep your pretty much virus free. Oh yeah and quit surfing the porn

I don't have it installed on my work pc... but you should be able to open the program and tell it to scan your system. Can't promise that it will remove what you have, but it's worth a try.

85gp4 I have adawre and avg and i got some freaking trojan on my hard drive.Ihave ran adaware and when all the scan is done the adaware wont delete eveything.It shows several dll files that it couldnt delete it.It then says reboot and run adaware again I did that and still on there.Avg keeps throwing up the little sign that says virus!and it shows it as a trojan..

Just wondered if you could give me some advice..thx..

Try installing and running the Microsoft spyware software.
It actually detected and removed a Trojan on my computer.

do- spybot-search and destroy; adaware; micorsoft antispyware

then reboot, and do them again, (make sure they are ALL the new updated versions, sometimes you can download old versions and they make you update it after you install it)

then get spywareblaster, and spywareguard, which protect against viruses, and reboot.

then run updated version of antivirus software. that should clear it up, and if not another option is to get hijackthis, which shows you all your registry files and running processes, and you can post it up and find out if anything is wrong in there.

Yep.. pretty much do what nicotino15 said.
The link above will work for the microsoft spyware and all the others can be found by doing a simple google search. Good luck with the Trojan.
