Hey,
I'm thinking about swapping out the interior in my 1987 5.0 LX and putting in interior from another car that looks bettter. Right now my interior is faded and some pieces don't look the best. I was thking of swapping out everything but the dash, but might end up doing that. Haven't taken a whole dash out, but have taken things around it out. Is it really hard to swap it out? Could I get the interior out of any LX or GT from 1987-1993? There's people selling cars for parts that have good interiors in them and interiors all ready ripped out of cars in the Want AD and such pretty much every week. I want to start looking for something so that hopefully around christmas time when I will have time off from school I can swap it, but need to know exactly what I can use before I start. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I don't know about a coupe, but if it's a hatch I know that the rear panels had provision for 3-point seatbelts in 89 or 90. The seats changed in 90, the cloth and headrest I believe, the A/C controls changed a little also. I also think that in 91 they might have taken away the cloth from the door panels. But as far as fitment goes I do not think that there should be any big differences, other than some small cosmetic stuff.

If your car is 87-89 for ease of installation you will want to stick with those years, if you get 90-93 they have air bag, but you have black as a choice of color. You can make it work but you are going to need to rewire the cluster to make it work they are wired differently. Also the seat belts mount differently so you are going to have to modify those.

Can you answer my question? Here I read an article Best car interior dressing | Interior dressing for auto detailing about best interior trim dressing, but it is not as clear as it is there 4 products are advised by completely different companies, namely: Fortador Leather Vinyl Trim The Chemical, Guys SPI220, 303 Automotive Protectant, Armor All Original Protectant. As far as I know from the experience of using some of them, they are all of good quality, but still which one to choose? A friend recommends Fortador Leather Vinyl Trim. The queue is behind you...
