Ideas and dates for the next Golf Tournament.
I wanted to throw out my opinion for the next Golf tournament idea. Since alot of members have expressed interest in doing the next tournament on a Sunday (myself included) these ideas cater to the Sunday schedule. In the past I have planned some personal golf GTG's with friends before and football season always seemed to mess things up. I know alot of us are Cowboys fans and we all really like to see the game, so here are some ideas to plan around this.
The first game is on Sunday Sept 20th but it starts at 7:15 so this should not interfere with the tee time (unless you are physically going to the game.) The next game is the following week, but it's on a Monday night so Sunday the 27th should be no problem for a tee time.
I bring this up because I know alot of people don't think this far ahead and may not remember the football game and consequently bail out on the tournament at the last minute, leaving us short. I for one don't care either way and if the tournament is held while a game is playing I will just record the game or watch highlights.
In the other thread some other members mentioned Grapevine and that's a great course with 27 holes. Another good course that is really nice is Mansfield national, has anyone played there? Tierra Verde is a beautiful course albeit a little challenging but I am for it again!

That is why I posted this because I knew football would be an issue. It doesn't have to be that particular Sunday it could be the following Sunday when the Cowboys play that Monday night.
I vote the 27th since I am working the 20th. Scrambles are more fun if the course is relatively easy with big greens and fairways...and under $50 green fees. I havent lived in that area for 10yrs so I do not remember all of the courses.
I'm up for paying a slightly higher green's fee's if we drop the $25 charity thing we did last time. Just gets pricey to play golf with me trying to furnish the new house and all.

the 27th is a good date because as stated above, the the cowboys play the 28th.
