It's an old carbine (no flames - it came with the car) alarm and it's not working too well anymore. All I can make it do is unlock the drivers door and blink the lights. Can I just cut the wires that go to the box and be done?

you will prolly have to get under the dash, and cut the wires, off the alarm, and match up some of the factory wiring. Sometimes the ignition wiring is bypassed threw the alarm to kill the ignition, I will come take a look at it for you josh. I had to do that with the black car, kind of a pain in the ass, but not that bad.

Or you could get ahold of EW at Auto Sound and have it removed for $65 Dont know if the fee is still the same.

You can cut most of the wires and just tape them off, but if it has starter disable be sure to splice those two wires together

It sounds like a basic alarm. If so, we remove them for $40. I would not leave the car unprotected. WE have many new alarms to choose from.
