I have an alarm system that is monitored and I am considering a self monitoring system that will call a pre determined number that you assign it. Anyone had any luck with a X-10 system? Also, I am dropping my home phone line and will be looking for a wireless system.

I use Smith Thompson Security they have a system that does not use a home line.
