I usually don't support anything about the UN, but I have an Iranian friend at work. He says that the young people in his country are tied of the religous government oppression. One of their leaders is being imprisoned and beatened. If you can take the time to read and/or sign the link, we would be greatful.

First Syria, then Iran, then Saudi Arabia.

Saw something on PBS about that last week. Couldn't believe it, as we just sort of forgot about them after Khomeni died. The people fighting for freedom are very hard not to admire and sympathize with.

The Saudis are a completely different problem, because they are a different sect of Islam that makes the Iranian clerics look like girl scouts. Usama Bin Laden is one of them. The other problem is that the country is the birthplace of Islam and if you start dropping bombs there you'll have to kill pretty much everyone that prays to Allah.
