Cutting the pin is BAAAAD! If you get in a wreck the seat can go forward/backwards causing you to get injured. I read about it somewhere but can't recall where. Course, if you never get in a wreck it won't matter! But I think if your car got rear-ended with enough of an impact, it would make the seat sort of fold backwards. Not positive, but I read it somewhere...

yeah, i guess that is true, i dunno though, i can't even sit in one of those things. my shins hit the dashboard. the only way I think i could manage in a miata is with a lot of luck and skill and the jaws of life to pry me out when i get done.
