......and let me tell you,THAT SHIT AIN'T NOOOO FUN...!! but instead of skidding my brakes off the end of the track,i just reached up and killed the nitrous and ignition power........but in the split second it took me to realize it was stuck and to react to it,i somehow thought about the post that was on here a few weeks back about the kid in the mustang.....had a hell of a backfire and carb fire for a few seconds and some hellacious noises,i thought i had destroyed my new engine. but after exiting the car, snuffing out the fire with my fire jacket and popping the throttle closed,i hit he starter..turned over good and made no noise, flipped the ignition and fired right up,70 psi of oil pressure and running like a sewing machine. i sure thought i was going to be trailing a river of pistons, rods, oil and water before i got stopped but it was all clean behind me....yet to figure what all the noise was, maybe it was the sound a seat makes when being sucked up your ass from MAJOR PUCKER EFFECT....LOL

That sucks, it could have been a lot worse - good to hear you got it stopped safely!
That was some fast thinking! I woulda shit myself and panicked like a little girl.
could've been worse. glad you're ok.

BTW the kid you're thinking about had his ignition rigged up which is why he couldn't turn it off.
TO BE HONEST..i am lucky it stood on the bumper and i had to let out of it.........if i would have made a clean pass,it would have been a lot quicker and faster.....and probably uglier on the big end......i promise you one thing,my carb will have a return spring the size of a fookin garage door spring on it the next time i go out
could've been worse. glad you're ok.

i don't know why mine stuck.....fuck the riggin up shit
I have had that happen to me a couple times in different cars for diff reasons . One a motor mount broke and hung it wide open , I had to hit the clutch and it dropped back down and let go . One time I was a passenger and when it hung my buddy paniced . I kept my head , reached over and turned off the ignition . He was white as a sheet . Once it happend to a BMW v-8 conversion I did and the Lokar cable hung and I killed the ignition but the MSD let it run on for a few seconds so I had to ride it out . It felt like forever . No damages or crashes thank God but its no fun .
