aren't they supposed to have a sign in the yard saying a sex offender lives there? maybe that's somewhere else.

Nah, dont think so. Might have to let the neighbors know or something though.

There was an old post where you could easily search in your area, shit I think I had 15 or so just within a mile or two of my house, and I live down the street from an elementary school.

Find out who is parole officer is. Make sure he reported moving to a new address and is legal to be within whatever distance from a school.

It'd be a real shame if he got revoked for not reporting...

Edit. Dallas County Adult Parole/Probation can tell you who the PO is and give you their number. Even if he's from another county, he'll be supervised by Dallas.

that sounds like something to look into. he's listed at the correct address. dccad shows the house is owned by someone else, i'm assuming it's the women and 2 kids that live there. not sure who they are, i've never met any of them.
Damn thats kinda creepy
Even though you don't have kids I'd say the least you can do is inform your neighbors.
If he does anything odd please make sure you call. That freaking RSO that had the woman for 18 years got away with it becuase no one cared enough to keep calling about his odd behavior.
Go have a couple beers with him and bring some vaseline.
You could always shoot him?

just an idea

That's really smart lol :)
Yeah it's too bad the simplest and most direct solutions are often judged as not smart.

I meant it as a joke but I don't have kids. If I did, I probably wouldn't mean it as a joke.
Print off the flyer with his pic and offense and put one on all of the neighbors doors...

From what I recall, it is the offenders duty to inform the neighborhood of his conviction when he moves in.
Just inform your neighbors, there will be a dad handle the situation quickly. I found out there was one living around the corner from my house. Single parole officer living next door informed me. The next time he came walking down our street for "exercise" I met him and had a very short and blunt conversation with him. Haven't seen him on our street since.
