salis pizza for the win definetly and babes is across the street off of beltline and garland
Garland Grill hands down is a good home cooking place, its located at Kinglesy and Jupiter on the north east cornor...behind the gas station. Not to mention the owner has a new Saleen.
if you like italian, check out siciliano's on buckingham between garland road and shiloh. it's worth a trip just for the garlic rolls.
