Fall Fertilization???/

OK, When do we need to fertilize for the fall/winter? I want to catch the weeds before they germinate.

fertilize on your major holidays starting with Easter each year, this is just a guide
you can put down premergent anytime, but early spring and fall are the best times to put it down
