Fake Money Order

Got one of those western union money orders, didnt think it was a fake but it cant be verified, any one know anything on these??

Take it to western union and try to cash it... if they won't, then I guess it's fake. :thinking:

I know that they can be faked, usually ask for USPS Money Order, they are harder to counterfit and can be verified quickly at your local Postal Office and cashed before you ship any item.
There should be a number on the back to call. If not, it is fake.

This is the only way I will take a money order, unless It is drawn off a large bank(jpmchase,boa,well,etc.)


The reason is that it can be verified, and it is considered federal wire fraud for counterfeiting.

Most scammers aren't willing to take that risk.

Go to a western union location only. They will tell you for sure.
