Do you pay yearly taxes depending on how much you "make" from E-bay?

Reason being, I've recently sold about $1800 worth of stuff I've just got around to messing with.

Now, this wasn't meant as a business venture, just stuff that I bought and didn't use much for whatever reason and wanted to take a stab at getting some money back for it.

Don't think so. You don't really pay taxes at a Pawn Shop or any other kind of business where they buy shit from you.

its not really income, unless its a business. If your just selling your old stuff that you paid tax on when you purchased it is one thing, buying a gangload of a product with a resale tax number and selling them on ebay is another.

No way Grant! If anything ever came up (ie: an audit), I would just argue that my cost basis was higher than the amount I got paid from the ebay transaction. The only way you'll ever have to deal with something like this is if you got audited.
