gimee a hand with this if you can. I have an old ass IBM stinkpad 750P that i am trying to get working so i can put lt1edit on it. I tried to boot it with a boot disk, but i can get past the security prompt for a password, i think it's in theft mode. Anything i can do short of removing the bios battery, theres a buncha screws and plates and things i would rather not mess with

if the bios has a on boot password, your pretty much fucked. Pull the cmos battery.

that is what i figured. There are so many damn screws im not sure that i can find the CMOS battery, i cant get the a: out either, only the battery and HDD. shittttt..

There is a door on the bottom of the laptop that will expose your RAM chip. Next to that should be the CMOS battery.

lol, sorry guys, i still havent figured it out. i took ever damn screw that held anything together too. this is gonna be fun to put back together
