I drive this car everyday. Why the fuck bother?? lolso i was working on the house yesterday and the kids across the street asked if i would help him make his car faster and sound better, i was thinking to myself WTF why? its a 1997 2.2L cavalier, so i said ok i would try and help. as of now he only wants to make it sound better so i looked on summit and all i found were pace setter heads, anyone ever heard of those? and a magna flow cat and muffler, is there anyone out there that has fixed up their cavalier and made it faster and sound better, HELP ME OUT PLZ.TIA

I guess whatever floats your boat. I have never looked for any parts for the car, I would be surprised if there was a body kit or any performance parts. I try to not do anything to it. I despise driving it, so I sure as hell don't want to work on it. But I do have to change the rag top, its all messed up.
I hear the best thing to do with those is to put a fart can and neon lights on them. :banana:
lol well he specifically told me he didnt want it to sound like a ricer lol how thats gonna happen i dont know, and he might end up putting neon lights under it lol
don't bother with the pacesetter(they leak all the time)just tell him to get at turbo kit off e-bay but still not worth the time. If he had a dohc 2.4 there would be alot of mods.
I guess he needs the "Trade it in for a real car" mod!!! :tongue:

That's the worst possible car to even consider doing anything to. Well other than a non turbo Neon. It's a POS and no amount of money, fiberglass or bing bong pipes will ever make it cool or any less of a pile.

There use to be a little 2.2 cavalier turboed that ran 8.0 but i didn't know much about his mod's. It's still a pos though.
PM JamesB, and ask him to build a tube frame for it, converting it to RWD and LS1 in the process. Any and all perceived speed problems solved.
