cams for a 2V, need input

looking for a set of cams to stick in our 2V. The heads will be ported. The car is automatic, with 4.30 gears and will have a 125 dry shot on it.

So someone point me in the direction on the cams. Should we go custom grind or are there some off the shelf cams that would work perfect for us.

Call Jim at Cushmanmotorsports.com Their stage 2 cams seem to love nitrous but I am sure he can hook you up. Tell him I sent you his way...

glad you chimed in on this. thanks man, will give him a call then.
Sorry to invade the post but i have a full bolt on non pi shortblock with stock pi cams heads and intake. Due to the heads on the shortblock would i be able to run a set of aftermartket cams if they are installed and degreed correctly?

I went with hitech stage 2 cams on my car and it put down 281 hp and 302 tq and i don't think my tune is all the way there yet but not bad for an auto car and it was hot as a mofo that day in the shop just my .2 cents all my mods are in my sig
hitech stage 2 are the best cams for a bolt on car and nitrous but i put cams in my car and ran close to the same times and mph and it pick up 40 whp and put down 307/310 so if i had to do it again i would have just bought a k memeber and coilovers

My old set up was a non pi motor on a 125 wet shot with all the same bolt on's(slow i know) and then i did the 03 swap with just hitech stage 2 cams no aftermarket spring's and my car picked up a tenth but run's a slower mph i am not saying it's fast now i am just saying that i like my car a whole lot more now than i did before
my car trap higher with out the cams i was dissappointed
will the hitech stage 2's clear ther pistons with the head and sb combo i built. also will it have a lopey idle and are springs... etc required
it will clear the heads, depends how high the idle is set for the lope and i put manley springs in mine but it is not required it is kinda dumb not to put springs in
take that back i do pick up two tenths

hitechmotorsports.com check them out
The specs on the hitech cams are a little pathetic...their "stage 3" cams are smaller than most companies stage 1's....

If you have a higher compression motor or want to run nitrous, call cushman and get a set of their stage 2's....

.560/.570 lift, 232/242 @ .050" on a 108 LSA. idle has to be pretty high and there are some driveability issues but they are sick!

I've made as much as 329/341 in my big bore 2V with em'.
the cushamns have higher specs but they dont make more power for a bolton car at least i have never seen those cams make more power they hitechs
