Is your car a 5,6 or 7 series with Active Steering ??

If so, only the BMW dealer can reset the steering angle sensor, which should be done when a alignment is performed.

The Basic front and rear adjustments can be done on any alignment machine.

yes your car can be taken anywhere to get the alignment done.
