I think I am finally going to go 5 lug and I am looking at a set of 18" SVE Anniversary wheels on it. The package deal from 50resto, comes with 265/35/18 tires.

The car(87 GT) has a AJE tubular K-member and UPR coilovers over my Strange 10-ways.

Does anyone know if there will be a clearance issue with 265/35/18's and the coilovers?

Well, right now I am contemplating either painting the centers of my Draglites. Or selling those and going 5-lug.

I pulled my Welds because the front tires were separating. When I bolted the turbines on I accidentally put rears on the front and they rub the springs of the coilover kit - that is with a 275/50(?)/15 tire. I think I'm going to have to test fit and see.

I know my 17x8's are super close to hitting the coil overs on my 94Gt.

Best way is to see if someone that has those wheels will let you test fit it on the front and watch it while you turn from lock to lock. I had issues with rubbing on my swaybar in the front with wide wheels and tires before too (not sure if you're even running a swaybar up front but figured I'd mention it).

OK I think I have everything worked out.

I am looking at swapping to the SN95 spindle/brake setup. If all that i have read is correct - the spindles MUST be from a 94 or 95 because 96+ widens the track width, right??

Approx. what is the going rate at a wrecking yard to get the assembly(from the spindle out)?

I priced some about 6 months ago and it was about the same as they were going for here in the classifieds. $250-$275 ish I think with brake parts.

17x9 Cobra R's and most konigs will clear....17x9.5's with an 18mm offset and 275 tires clears just fine. It's all in the offset on your wheel that makes the difference. Rub on the swaybar at full lock will also be a problem and takes off clip on wheel weights....
