I tried testing a live wallpaper APK, and it said that live wallpapers are marked as not compatible with any Amazon devices, including the Fire Phone. Seems like the absolute ideal way to show off the new dynamic perspective feature. And a way to spread interest in the phone virally. This phone has two things that set it apart from much cheaper phones like the Nexus 5: dynamic perspective and Firefly. Since Firefly comes across as a way to get advertised to (and thus many have the impression is something that should be used to subsidize a lower cost on the phone), dynamic perspective is the main thing going for Fire Phone. To get developers on board with releasing apps on it, live wallpapers would be a great start. It would not be difficult to get a live wallpaper working with dynamic perspective, and its something that a user's friends will all see. Games on the other hand would take considerably more effort to adapt to using this feature, and for many games it would not even be possible. It's the sort of feature that gameplay must be based on, and so it will be hard to sell developers on developing a one-phone exclusive title.
