well a few days ago my engine started shakeing pretty bad at idle, and when i drive it when the rpms go up , this nasty noise starts gettin louder and louder from my shifter whole..i first thought it might be something with my tranny but i got my car up on a lift and listened inside the oil pan and it sounded bad....
i was told its probally a rear crank bearing, if so how do i fix it?? do i have to pull the entire engine out and look at the crank?? any info would be great...

the best thing to do would be to pull the motor put it on a stand flip it upside down pull the crank rods pistons and inspect/mic everything the crank may need to be turned .010-.020 and saved or it may be garbage. the more you run it the more damage your causing if it is a spun bearing
