Any ford transmission tech's here?

The AX4S in my 99 DOHC taurus is acting up. It's acting like the converter is not locking up. Fluid is full and fairly clean. Is there any way to check for line pressure or TC lockup without the rotunda tool? Also what commonly fail's on them?

Thanks,
Chris

Only thing I know is, those transmissions are junk. How many miles does it have on it? Is the fluid burned? Low?
lol i know, this is the third total rebuild in the car at 120k This rebuild cycle has maybe 30k on it.
From what I have seen, your running about average... :)

I would try and find an ohm chart for your TCC solenoid connector. Other than that, like you said, check line pressures or have it diagnosed...
are you experiencing torque converter stutter like it feels as if you were driving over railroad tracks?

any good obd ii data logger should be able to check line pressure. i can check the epc line pressure & tft sensor data on my mustang with the sct xcal2.
