Abandoned pitbull puppy.

Got to work this morning, and there was a little black pitbull puppy tied to the pole.

Real pretty and friendly. Female, even tempered. Non-cropped ears, normal tail.

The other guy at work here had already staked his claim to adopt her, and is taking her to get her vaccinations this week.

Thought some would like to hear about it.

Non-cropped ears
I was gonna tell you to run away until I saw this.
isn't this the second day in a row you have ran across an unexpected animal? You better watch out for that lion roaming the area.

That's why I mentioned it, lol.

Ha, actually, third day in a row.

I didn't mention it yesterday, but Sunday night when I got home from skeet shooting, I was walking up the sidewalk at my apartment complex, and a healthy sized skunk darted across in front of me. About 4-5 feet away.

Damned wildlife!
I know of a certain football player looking to replace a few dogs...
Update: Apparently the puppy hasn't eaten in a while. Coworker went to Petco, got some food, treats, shampoo, and a toy for the dog.

She ate, then got to playing with the chew rope....slinging that fucker all over the place, lol. I guess while she was playing, she got a little sick, and proceeded to puke all over our door mat.

This, I know.

However, the hardheaded kid who works here, didn't. And apparently, didn't listen when the boss and I told him that.

Which is why he got to clean it up. lol.

He's taking her to the vet, getting vaccinations and all today. Talked him into going ahead and doing it quick.
Good deal, sounds like it's gonna work out.

As a vet tech, seeing parvo all the time, THANK YOU for talking him into getting the puppy vaccinated!!! It is so so important. People don't realize that when they get a puppy there is a lot more than just playing and feeding! Will you stress as well the importance of heart worm prevention from the age of 8 weeks till the end! Easy to prevent, hard and expensive to cure! Also Arlington is doing a FREE spay/neuter clinic sometime in the near future for pitbulls!
:tongue:Nice job in saving that future baby killer!!!

My mother has been involved in boxer rescue since I can remember, so I have a decent enough grasp of the basics. I had to actually talk him into it though, as you said, he was just ready to get the dog home and play, lol.

I'll mention the heartworm prevention, I didn't think of that, but I was working too.

Lemme know about the free clinic, when you find out more. He or I may bring the pup down there.

Thanks!! I figured we could raise her, crop the ears, and then drop her off around the border to stem the tide of :sombrero:

Lol.

Does she work with Legacy? I have a 7 year old boxer and my next one will be from Rescue and white!! My vet does a lot of work with Legacy.
I will get the info on the clinic tomorrow when I get to work and let ya know! Thank god you know about vaccinations. There are far too many who don't and their dogs end up dying! Hey - make sure there hasn't been anyone with a puppy with parvo in his yard in the last year or s since it sticks around.
nice save.

I look into the parvo hanging out.

I think she's done some stuff with Legacy, but I'm not sure.

We've had a white boxer before, her name was Spook. Registered as Harley Girl Spooks Easy.

Best damn dog I've ever had. Period. I'll try and get some pictures uploaded.
nice save.
Thank ya.
My baby killer... I LOVE this dog!!!
